Forward Vector and angles

perhaps a dumb question but i can't seem to find out how i can get the forward vector of the BoxPhysics.
I need this to see if the player is in front of the model.

And when i create the BoxPhysics i use Matrix.CreateRotationY(angle) as the orientation parameter. The angle is the angle the model faces in my world. Is there a way to get this angle at a later stage in my game? I mean when the model moved because of some collision this angle also changes and i need to know that new angle.

I'm using the latest release of JigLibX.
i hope i clarified enough what i mean with forward and angle, if not tell me and i'll try to be more specific.
